Know Australian student visa Requirements

1. Offer Letter: It is an acceptance letter you will receive from your chosen educational institution. You have to review it thoroughly and check for every detail. Further, keep a copy of the Acceptance Letter for reference.

2. Confirmation of Enrolment (CEO): It is a document provided by an institution to confirm your enrolment in a specific course. Once you accept your Letter of Offer and pay the required deposit, you will receive your CoE. This document serves as proof to the Australian Government that, you are actually enrolled in the course you have stated.

3. Proof Of English Proficiency: Australian educational programs are conducted in English. So you need to provide a certificate from an approved English language test. This document presents to the Australian Government that you possess the necessary English proficiency. You can get an English proficiency certificate by participating in any of these exams: IELTS, PTE, CAE, or C1 Advance.

4. Genuine Student Requirement: The visa application contains a list of questions that you have to answer. These questions are designed to gather information about you and your reasons for studying in Australia. Here are some GS questions cover:

a) Your current situation, including family ties, community involvement, employment status, and economic circumstances.
b) Reasons for choosing your course and selecting Australia as your study destination.
c) How do you expect to benefit from studying your chosen course?
d) Any previous study experience in Australia, if applicable.
e) If you currently hold a visa other than a Student visa, you'll need to explain why you are applying for a Student visa.
f) Any additional information you wish to provide that may be relevant to your application.

5. Proof Of Sufficient Funds: To meet the requirement for a student visa, you have to prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your course. You can do it by two methods:

a) You can provide your bank statement and evidence of grants or scholarships.
b) You can provide your parent's or partner’s annual income proof. It must be a minimum of AUD$62,222 in the year immediately before you apply.

6. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): As an international student in Australia, you must have OSHC for the duration of your stay. It will help you pay for medical or hospital care and most prescription medicines. All international students need to have health insurance to apply for a visa.

3. Health Insurance: OSHC is mandatory for every international student. It allows you to pay for your medicines and cover charges for other healthcare services. You have to maintain valid health insurance for your entire course duration.

4. Notify Changes: If you are having any changes like address, contact details, or marital status, you have to notify the Department of Home Affairs. Also, if there are any changes to your course or institution you have to notify the same ASAP.

5. Compliance: It is essential to follow the rules and regulations of your visa. Otherwise, it may affect your visa status. Obeying these rules allows you to stay legally in Australia.

6. Extension: If your visa is about to expire and you intend to study further or extend your stay here. You will need to apply for an extension of your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) to apply for a new visa. You must check carefully for your eligibility and apply for the same.
